Pimp My Brow - Microblading Pen

I'm always on the lookout for a pencil that can make my brows look slightly more defined yet natural. This one is my favorite so far, but there is some room for improvement. I do like the amount of pigment and the fine line shape. It wears well, lasts long and is not super noticeable. I do feel like there's a pretty small amount of product for the price, and the tip could be maybe a little bit finer/smaller.

I actually really like this eyebrow marker pencil and I can see why so many people rave about it. The ultra fine tip and the little three prong design really do help create those natural hair like strokes, and I love that it doubles as an eyeliner too. The dark grey shade is perfect for my light to medium brown hair and it looks super natural once you get it on. I also appreciate that it is vegan and cruelty free.That said, I think it takes a little practice to really get the technique down. I am still figuring out how to make the strokes look realistic and not too bold. I did take off one star because after a few uses the tip started to feel like it was drying out. I noticed I had to push a little harder to get the product to flow which kind of throws off the whole precision thing.I am not totally sure if it is user error or the pen itself but overall I still think it is a cool product. I am planning to keep working with it because when it goes on right it looks amazing and lasts all day.

Takes some practice for sure but it does work! I find it easiest if the skin around the brows is dry – don’t use anything too moisturizing that will make the skin slippery or shiny (including sunscreens). Brush the brows in the direction you want them to go and then GENTLY draw with the brow pen. If you push too hard or you have anything oily, it will make splotches instead of drawn lines. I find it best for touching up thinner areas of my brows, or where it needs evened out around the edges of the lines. It stays on for as long as I need it to, but comes off easily with makeup remover, soap, or regular water and a little rubbing (not recommended, but to be aware of if you have oily skin, it might smudge if you touch it after awhile).

This would be amazing if it wasnt so warm toned. It comes out looking too red on me. It has great lasting power and applies so evenly and easily. Doesn't even come off with water, so I hope you have an oil based cleanser. Its sweat proof so it wont rub off. I love the precise application that I cant get with it.

Not sure if it is user error or not, but I have tried this product a few times and have had very inconsistent results. I find the angle of the brush makes it very difficult for me to create a natural look. I am left-handed and maybe that is my issue. Some of the line comes out thick, the rest is too thin and barely there. The color also doesn't look natural on my brows. I thought I was getting brown, but it is a dark grey (almost black). At least I was able to wipe away my mistakes easily and try again (and again). It does dry quickly though so be prepared to wipe off right away. Not a win for me, but maybe someone else will have better results.
