Calypso Glow Wand - Liquid Contour

I am still undecided on how I feel about the OZ LAB Calypso Glow Liquid Contour Wand. First use, when you twist the bottom so many clicks that you are sure it is broken or there is no product in the wand, twist about 10 more clicks and the product will finally begin to fill the sponge tip applicator. There aren't many color options, so finding youre best shade is very much trial and error, however most can be used in one way or another to sculpt and contour nearly every skin tone. Once the applicator is loaded with product, it applies evenly. It is buildable, but it is best to wait a minute between layers or use a small fan to get the product to set faster. I did find that it blends really easily, but if you blend it immediately after application, it blends in too well and leaves no visible contouring. Again, if you use a fan to dry set it before blending, it maintains the contour and sculpting you've done, blending edges without losing the sculpt. I found that using primer underneath gives it better staying power, but it wasn't as easy to blend. It lasted the longest when I used setting spray and powder after application, lasting between 8-10 hours.

This contour wand does a good job if you’re looking for something affordable but still effective. The shade is rich and works nicely for deeper skin tones, and the cushion tip makes it easy to place the product exactly where you want it. The formula blends well and builds gradually, so you can go subtle or more dramatic. It dries down to a matte finish that stays put surprisingly well for the price. Overall, it’s a simple, no-frills contour that gets the job done without feeling heavy or gimmicky.

This is a great contour wand. the formula dries down quickly. I like the finish and that it does not dry out my skin.

I have the shade Morning Glow for fair/light skin and I like the formula — it looks natural, blends nicely, and has good coverage without being patchy or uneven and the formula has the right consistency for contour — thin enough to be blendable but thick enough that it stays in the area where it’s applied and doesn’t shift and move around your face throughout the day. The applicator is easy to use and convenient, a squishy sponge tip and turn the other end to dispense product (this also works well and dispenses the product in small, even amounts so you don’t end up with a huge blob of contour). I considered deducting a star because the shade is warmer than I’d prefer (I have neutral-cool undertones) but I think this will work for warm toned people and it works on me as a bronzer (and I can use it as a contour if I’m doing an overall warm toned look, which isn’t often but occasionally I will do a warm makeup look). The depth of the shade is good too, I’m quite fair and this contour isn’t too dark, it looks like a natural shadow without being muddy or overly dramatic. This is my first time trying OZ labs but will be trying more from them, this was great quality at a very reasonable price point, which I love! I’d definitely recommend this contour — as a contour shade for warm undertones and as a liquid bronzer shade for cool undertones.

This particular shade was a little dark for me however I think even with a lighter shade, it wouldn't have been the right make up for my skin type. I don't have deep pores, but I felt line it didn't blend very easily making my pores look more prominent. I also found that it has a certain odor that was unpleasant to me. I feel like the applicator itself was easy to use and the amount you receive for your money was also a plus.
