Hide & Chic - Liquid Concealer

So the best way this worked for me was to use it where I have redness, primarily around my nose just above the labial folds. I barely used any, and I was able to cancel out the redness. I also used it on my upper eyelids that have had some redness due to irritation from allergies. It left it a slight green tint, which looked awful, but when I put my regular foundation over it, it looked splendid and made my skin look more even than it has in a long time. Up until this concealer, if I wanted no redness around my nose, I had to use far more of the foundation, and I always thought it looked too cakey. This solves that problem.

I’ve been shopping for a concealer to use on the darker areas under my eyes. I was excited to try the Oz Lab concealer. It offers a lot of features that I look for when ordering skin care and cosmetics. It has a matte finish. It’s vegan and cruelty-free. A bonus is that it is SPF 30++. It’s also waterproof. When I received the product, I expected the concealer to be a lighter color. It is actually a coral shade and way too dark for my fair skin. I did try it on the shadows under my eyes, hoping the color would blend. It was still too dark for my skin tone. I really like the texture and quality of this concealer. It comes with a brush on the end of the tube. I’ve actually started using this as a blush instead of a concealer. It goes on easily and works as a highlighter when I blend it above my cheekbones. There is no fragrance. It lasts for most of the day. I would order this product again in the correct shade because I do like how it glides on and the matte finish.

I don't really use a lot of concealer. I got this for spot coverage, which it works great for. The color actually turned out to be the right shade for me, even though it was really hard to tell which color would work. The only thing I don't like is the applicator. There is a little brush attached, so you have to use it to apply. This to me seems unhygienic since I am contently touching my face with it. The brush also stays covered in the concealer unless you wash it off, which is not practical. The brush is now oversaturated with concealer and started getting crusty, even though I try to wipe if off after each use. It's just not convenient to use because of this. I also appreciate that it has SPF, especially for the under-eye area, definitely a bonus you don’t see often in concealers at this price point. My only small criticism is that it can cling slightly to dry patches if you don’t prep the skin first, so a bit of moisturizer or primer underneath makes a big difference. The applicator is decent, but not as precise as some higher-end brands.

While the color name is a bit misleading, the formula itself really surprised me. Out of the tube, the shade is much darker and warmer than a true ivory—it’s more of a tan-peach tone. The texture is creamy and smooth, gliding on easily with the wand applicator. One can use a sponge to blend it out, and it will melt onto your skin with a natural matte finish that won't look cakey or heavy.The coverage is impressive—definitely full without feeling suffocating—and it effectively concealed redness and under-eye shadows. It feels lightweight on the skin and doesn’t have a strong scent, which is always a plus.That said, the shade range (or at least the naming) could use improvement, since this “Ivory” shade would be too deep for very fair tones. However, I found a creative workaround by using it as a cream bronzer or blush—it blends beautifully for that purpose.
